Bornga Korean Restaurant @ Suntec City

Another Korean restaurant in Singapore which are famous for its authentic korean cuisine. That is Bornga and there are a total of 3 outlet in Singapore: Suntec City, Vivo city and Star Vista. I had tried both at Suntec city and Vivo city. Reservation is highly recommended. In Korea, this restaurant is owned by their famous celebrity chef and he has appeared in variety show to show off his culinary skills. Upon sitting down there is a comic sketch paper on the table which advice you on the way how you eat the BBQ meat. Quite interesting and you can take some time reading it. There are plenty of side dishes and is refillable: Kimchi, korean bean sprouts, ikan bilis, sliced cooked egg, black bean and many more. I ordered the chap chye, korean ginseng soup, seafood pancake, kimchi stew and their famous BBQ. The service crew will help you with the BBQ and they have a suction so the smell will not be that bad after the dinner. The meat together with the sauce and vegetable make a heavenly combination. It is really good. Personally, I felt the seafood pancake were not too good compare to the one I had before. The rest of the dish such as the chap chye were fantastic as well. The price is on the high side so be prepared to enjoy the good food.

Sanpoutei Ramen @ Isetan Scott

I am going to recommend a ramen shop which I tried a few months ago. So far, I went twice and queue are always spotted during peak hours. It is Sanpoutei Ramen located at Isetan Scott Basement 1. There are many japanese pantronising the shop and the shop deco was pretty nice. All the soup broth was simmered for more than 7 hours so I decided to try the Miso and Tonkotsu soup base on each of the visit. I prefer the tonkotsu ramen more. The side dish deep fried chicken with ponzu sauce was awesome as well. Give it a try and I am sure you will not be disappointed.
