The high society @ MBS

Inside Marina Bay Sands, there are many restaurants, cafes and eatery. I come across this cafe place at basement which sell cakes, muffins, cupcakes and my favourite macarons. The named is High Society. Beside the cafe, there are that CD shop playing nice music. Basically, I cannot resist macaron temptation so I can say I have tried almost all macaron in Singapore. I do takeaway for the lychee cake and chocolate tart and a box of 7 macarons. Overall , only the macaron was good and cheap. As for the 2 desserts, I feel is pretty decent. The price of the cake and tart is not cheap due to the high rental cost so perhaps is not worth it. If you are around MBS, you can give it a try for their coffee or tea and rest your feet after long walking.

Bread Street Kitchen @ MBS

A celebrity chef restaurant in Singapore, the Bread Street Kitchen at Marina Bay Sands. The celebrity chef is none other than Gordon Ramsey, the all time favourite chef. I got to know him through Master chef, Master chef junior and Hell Kitchen. He is exceptional amazing in the kitchen during the show. We had this meal last year during my wedding anniversary day. I thought I should give it a try since I love his show and wanted to try his food although I know he is not the one cooking for me. Upon reaching, we are ushered to a window seats which I have requested during my reservation. He is very polite and explain the menu to us as he get to know this is our first time to the restaurant. After giving some thought of what to have, I have decided to try the scallop, duck breast, beef wellington and a drink called forbidden forest. I remembered in hell kitchen, I know all the contestants always cook this beef wellington stuff and the scallop and some of the contestants will fails with either under cook or overcook the meat and also the scallops. After waiting for awhile, the scallops came. There are 4 of them and I really wanted more as it was really nice. The scallops were cooked to perfection and the bacon on top goes well with it. This cost $24. One scallops $6. Next the mains arrived. the beef wellington and duck breast were good. It was my first time eating beef wellington, to me it was kind of huge for one person so I advised to share so you can get to try other items in the menu. Interesting dish pastry wrapped with beef is just like eating puff. The duck breast meat was sweet and the fat ratio was just nice. Overall a nice experience for me. I will visit again to try other items in the menu. Yeah!

Two Chef @ Commonwealth area

Finally I get to try two chefs eating place last month. It was a treat from boss so I decided to try the famous zi char place. We reached around 545pm taking bus from commonwealth mrt station or you can choose to walk which will take you around approx. 15 minutes. The place was not that big so if is full house, you might have difficulty moving around when you finished your dinner. After reading some reviews, we ordered the pork floss mayo prawns, 3 eggs spinach, 3 types of crab (chilli, black pepper and golden sands), fried yam sticks and the famous butter pork ribs. The time was pretty fast for the dishes to arrive. The butter pork ribs was really fantastic as well as the yam sticks. This are new dishes to me which I never tried it elsewhere. The mayo prawns was good too. As for the crabs, they seems normal to me as I had better one elsewhere. Overall, this place is definitely in my zi char list and the food is great with friendly price. Be there early if not you will have to wait for quite awhile. For your information. there is another outlet at Sin Ming Avenue near to Guang Ming Monastery. Please go and try the food. Nice!

Providore @ Mandarin Gallery

Another Cafe in town, The Providore. There are total four outlets in Singapore. I had been to the one at Mandarin Gallery and Tangs Orchard. We tried the Ricotta pancakes and deep berries smoothies at Tangs. The pancakes were very fluffy and goes well with the nut and banana. As for the smoothies, very berry flavoured. We tried the lobster mac and cheese and salmon bagel at Mandarin gallery. Overall, the food and drinks were nice and is a comfortable place to rest your feet after some shopping session.

awfully chocolate @ Sembawang Hills

Every time I walked passed an awfully chocolate outlet, I will be tempted to purchase their ice-cream or desserts. Awfully chocolate is one of my best chocolate dessert shop in Singapore. Currently, there are 12 outlets in Singapore and the next outlet will be at Marinabay link mall. They have been in Singapore for awhile started off with selling chocolate cakes and slowly into desserts, ice-cream and now cafe. They offered really good chocolate cakes with friendly price with 3 flavours to choose from. They also sell chocolate tart, chocolate tiramisu and other chocolate desserts. One of my favourite will be their HEI ice-cream, very nice and not too sweet to me. They do served nice chocolate drinks too at their cafe. So if you love their chocolate, you will definitely love whatever they make using their chocolate. Give it a try if you have not done so.
