Bangkok trip 2014

This is a backdate post for the Bangkok trip I went last year. We stayed at apartment for the first time and it was really very worth it and comfortable. This trip we went to dean and deluca for three times. The food we tried there were crab louis salad, 3 colour cavatelli with carbonara sauce, lobster mac and cheese, almond croissant, salmon crab croquette, butter mash potato, fresh squid ink tagliolini with vodka sauce. 

American full breakfast , full english breakfast, lobster scrambled egg, salmon benedict, Breakfast burrito, chocolate flight and bombe alaska. We also tried a cheap mookata (Pla thong buffet) less than 8 Singapore dollars. Wow. A must go is chinatown. We visited the T & K seafood again. As usual, it was a satisfying dinner followed by dessert along the stretch of bustling streets. Massage at Healthland Spa and supermarket shopping at Siam paragon is a routine at BKK. We went to another hound cafe for dinner and Mr Jones orphanage for dessert. Weekend shopping at Chatuchak market, with the coconut ice cream in mind and the street food in BKK is always so irresistible. We went to a roof top bar and the night view is magnificent and with a cocktail on the hand is so enjoyable. Planning to visit more hidden gem in BKK for the next visit. 

8 Korean Bbq restaurant @ Central Clarke Quay

I visited this Korean restaurant for barbeque awhile ago. It is called the 8Korean Bbq. You must be thinking why 8 and yes, they serve 8 different flavour meat: wine, original, ginseng, garlic, herb, curry, miso paste and red pepper paste. We ordered the signature 8 flavour meat, army stew and a seafood pancake. The staff will help to grill the meat and cut the meat so you can enjoy the food peacefully. There are sides such as bean sprout and kimchi. Overall, I like the ginseng and wine flavour meat and the pancake. There are too many korean bbq in Singapore but this restaurant has it own speciality so give it a try if you have not done so.

Yoogane Korean restaurant @ Bugis Junction

Korean food in Singapore is well liked by many. We love their fashion, song, drama and many more but the most important of all their food. This restaurant had opened another outlets at Westgate after its first opening at Bugis, Yoganne. There was always long queue outside the restaurant and full attendance is required before you can go in to try their food. We ordered their chicken Galbi with Chukkumi Octopus, omelette roll and one bowl of cold korean soba. The staff will help you to stir fried while you can enjoy some of their small side dishes for appetiser. It was really delicious despite the spiciness which I was trying to resist. Although we ordered their soda but still spicy. Overall, I will recommend a minimum of four to fully enjoy their menu. Please be there early to avoid the long queue.

Muthu Curry @ Suntec city

This is the first time I visited an Indian restaurant, Muthu Curry. I hardly had a chance to dine at Indian restaurant, the reasons were I do not take spicy food and my wife do not like the smell of the spice of the food. That day, we decided to walk in and give it a try since this is one of the best Indian restaurant in town. We ordered their signature fish head curry and plain rice and the keropok is free flow. The fish head curry was a little spicy for me, yummy, flavourful and the fish is very fresh. I will definitely go back and try some of their other signature dishes. Worth the try.

Si chuan Dou Hua @ UOB Plaza

It has been a long time since my last blog entry due to my busy work as well as I have been going dieting to win my company competition (lose to win).  Indeed with my determination, I top the group. I lost 9.4kg and won some vouchers and gifts. We went to Si Chuan Dou Hua on a sunday and it was my dad birthday. The restaurant was at 63rd level on top of UOB plaza. We need to change 2 lift in order to get to the restaurant. Reservation is highly recommended. The view was magnificent and very beautiful and over looking marina bay float and esplanade. The dim sum and dishes were good and delicious. We enjoyed ourself throughout the whole lunch. enjoying the scenery and the food. I can say this can be one of the best view restaurant in Singapore.
