Another day that I missed out on my Day 1 post is to get the mobile data at airport. It is much cheaper compare to outside shop but the shop at airport only opened at 8am.
Our day 2 at Taichung start only after 12 noon that is when the shop start to open. We went to Macdonald to had our breakfast: chicken burger, nuggets and corn soup and went to hotel to rest before embarking on our day 2 journey:

The journey start from taking bus 5 to 秋红谷 stop and transfer bus 304 to 彰化银行 stop. After alighting, walk backwards and turn left to 中山路 and the shop is located at the corner of the road. Remember to get their famous sandwiches. From there, you will passby 一福堂which is famous in Taichung. You can get a lot of different type and flavour of 伴手礼 ranging from 太阳饼，风梨酥，芋头酥 and many more. Another way, at the Beacon hotel counter, they have lot of ordering form from different shop and you can order through there if you do not wish to try the food.
You can google your way to 宫原眼科. From far, you will see lot of tourist queuing for ice cream. If you choose to dine in, minimum spending of NT 380 is applicable. We choose to dine in and we ordered 4 scoop of ice cream and a sampler platter to share. The 4 flavours were kyoho grape, aiwen mango, black leave lychee and 66% fruit flavour chocolate. The sampler consist of 高粱香肠 and 炸尤鱼. The ice cream is definitely good as well as the food. The service of the staff is excellent and the deco of the building internally is very beautiful. You can take a rest here, enjoy the ice cream before moving on to next stop. They do sell chocolates, tea leaves, cookies that come with very nice packaging if you wish to get some gift for your friends. We walk to Taichung main train station and take bus 35 back to Hotel and Dinner will be at Feng jia Night Market.
