Seafood Paradise @ Singapore Flyer

Last saturday, I went to seafood paradise @ singapore flyer to celebrate charlene birthday together with si ying. The ambience and the decoration of the restaurant is fantastic and the service of the staff is excellent. We ordered a 4 person set menu and we were very full towards the end. However, Charlene seems not full and she manage to finish half the cheese cake (OMG! I guess). It is so nice to have them around talking and laughing away. I missed the time when I still have at Aventis when we could do the same thing also. It is good to catch up once a while to see how is everyone as everyone is busy with work and stuffs. Let me wish charlene a happy birthday and all the best in whatever she do!

Brocolli with fried enoki mushroom (I love)
Geoduck with asparagus (My first time eating geoduck) (象拔蚌)
Live fish (The fish is sweet, chilli very spicy)
Seafood Fried Rice
Birthday from sweet garibaldi (Mango cheese cake) (Yummy!)

Dessert (Mango puree)

Second Restaurant during restaurant week

Last Saturday, Liqi and I went to this italian resturant located inside the SAM (Singapore Art Museum). This was the second resturant I reserved for the restaurant week. Italian crusine again and I loved it. We were terribly late on that day. There was massive jam towards orchard area so we decided to take train halfway through the journey. When we reached the place, I guessed it was already 2 plus. The greeting of the staff at the door was considered not satisfactory. They seem shocked to see our arrival and perhaps they thought we might not be coming. Actually the lunch hours was until 3pm so I did not put too much blame on them and we ate for approximately 45 to 50 minutes as the dishes were served promptly. I had a feeling that they seemed to rush us out of the restaurant. haha. However, the dishes served were impressive especially the dessert (panna cotta) and the ambience in the restaurant was to my liking. This resturant is definitely worth a  second try, however I really hope the service will improve.

Pumpkin Soup (average)
Grilled Vegetables (my first time trying grilled vegetables, awesome)
Pasta with fish slices (Omg, the fish melt in the mouth and is very fresh)
Pork medallion
Penna Cotta
(Main character, serving is just nice although it look small. The taste is absolutely good!)

After the meals, we walked to UE square to explore some good restaurant and indeed we spotted a few. Next, we went to takashimaya basement 2 to buy the Baumkuchen cake. It was to my surprise that there were many new store. If you have not been to takashimaya for a long time, time to visit again.

Authentic Italian Buffet @ Basilico

It is another exciting weekend for me. Attend wedding at malaysia. Took leave on monday to enjoy good food @ Basilico as I had make a reservation for lunch. Basilico is located at level 2 of regent hotel. This is the first restaurant I booked for during the restaurant week. It is a Italian buffet (plus localised dishes) menu so I was tinking "mai tu liao" faster book since most of the restaurant serve 2 to 3 course set meal. Post some picture of the italian buffet spread. The variety of antipasti is a lot but I only took some of the familiar food (cured ham and seafood). Maybe someone can guide me on how to eat the other lot of antipasti which appeared stranger to me. First recommendation, the Ravioli is excellent (creamy with mushroom stuffings). Next recommendation will be the pumpkin and seafood soup (strong seafood taste) and lastly will be the dessert, red wine with pear (sweet and healthy). If you love italian food, you will love this place. Nice ambience and great service. As for those who wanted to try italian food, this is the place you cannot missed.

Anti-pasti (4 types of ham, mussels, prawn salad, octopus salad, asparagus and smoked duck)
4 kind of pasta (Vongole, Ravioli, Beef lasagne and tomato pasta)

Pizza, Brocoli, mashed pumpkin, grilled chicken, fish and beef
lamb, pork ribs, another serving of ravioli and grilled chicken

Pumpkin Soup

Seafood Soup

Red wine with pear

Dessert of the day

A perfect breakfast @ wild honey

Last Saturday, Me and June BB went to wild honey located at mandarin gallery for breakfast. It has been on my food list for sometime till this special occasion, we decided to give it a try. The food served was never disappointing. On the menu, there were a whole range of breakfast from various countries to choose from, we were spoilt with choices. I supposed he is the manager of the shop, he approach and introduce us on the various breakfast using the Ipad. Cool! At last, I choose the European style and BB use the Belgian style. Although the price is a bit steep for breakfast but is definitely worth a try. I will go back again for the English breaskfast and try the honey drinks.
