Canton Paradise @ AMK Hub

A newly opened chinese restaurant, Canton Paradise, replacing soup restaurant and dian xiao er at the basement of AMK Hub. It was packed during weekend. After waiting for awhile, we finally got the seats. I looked through the menu and there were so many items I wanted to order. Due to only 3 people eating, we had our limitation. so I ordered the following items:  fish porridge, olive fried rice, egg tart, har gow, char siew bun and others. The fish porridge was good, fish was fresh and porridge was mushy. Good for the empty stomach. Fried rice was well cooked and very fragrance. The egg tart were a little too small for me. The rest of the items were pretty good and their service was worth mentioning. I will definitely come back for the unordered items for my next visit.
Well done paradise group, keep it up

L'Expresso Cafe @ Goodwood Park Hotel

On the eve of national day, we went to Goodwood park hotel for high tea buffet, L'expresso. Anticipating the variety of bread and pastries, my stomach started making music. Upon reaching, we were ushered to our seats. The seat were very comfortable, with back cushion to support our back. After ordering our tea, we went to the spread. There were bread and sandwich section, cake and dessert section and a chocolate fondue machine. There were salmon as well. I love their sandwiches and not forgetting croissants. Their variety of bread were enough to satisfied me. Their savoury pastries were really good, especially the prawn burger. Now come the sweet thing, the creme bulee and bread pudding were good. As for the cake, were normal, not worth mentioning. They had a variety of tea to choose from the menu so I like this too. I will recommend to go and try and the price is around 45(not inclusive of service and GST). I love their bread!

ALFRESCO GUSTO - ITALIAN BISTRO & BAR @ Ion Orchard

Last month, I visited an Italian restaurant inside Ion Orchard, Alfresco Gusto- Italian Bistro and Bar. It was very well decorated. It had indoor and outdoor seating. I was sitting outdoor on a hot saturday afternoon, I thought it would be very hot but to my surprise it was quite cooling with only big fan on top. The service of the staff was excellent, friendly and attentive. I ordered the soup of the day, French onion soup, Gnocchi and chicken ballotine for main course, panna cotta for dessert. The mock tail that we ordered was very refreshing and drinking it on a hot day was certainly the right type of drink. The soup was good and go along well with the bread. Next, the main course and dessert were really good. I love the food here and I will come back again. Definitely recommended to all to visit the restaurant.

Paris Baguette @ Jem

Another Gem shop, Paris Baguette, opened at JEM  Paris Baguette had another outlet at Wisma Atria. I came across this bread store and I tell myself I will try as many different kind of bread as possible. I am attracted to the layout of the shop and the Logo. There are always queue and it took me 15 minutes to order what I want from the counter. Below are the bread I bought. Highly recommended: Wake up Jane and their signature pudding. Other bread taste as good too. the price of the bread is a bit expensive but is the quality of the thing you are paying for so I feel is worth it. Definitely a must go bread shop if you happen to pass by. I will go back for more yummy bread.

Pepperoni Pizzeria @ Greenwood Avenue

Finally, I visited the pepperoni pizzeria at Greenwood avenue. Been wanting to try their super super big pizza for a long time. After ordering 2 huge pizza, I am anticipating the arrival of the pizzas. Indeed, it was a really big 21 inch diameter pizza. We had a hard time finishing the 2 big pizza by 7 peoples. I really ate a lot as I love the pizza. The pizza had very thin crust and the topping were really good. A very nice place for gathering and for pizza lover. Definitely going back for other flavour. Thumb up!

Bangkok Jam @ JEM

Another restaurant I visited at JEM, Bangkok Jam. It had a number of outlet in Singapore. From the interesting name, I decided to give it a try for the Thai food. We ordered the clear seafood tom yum soup, lemon grass prawn cake, phad Thai and curry rice. I need to say the Phad Thai was good, very authentic. The lemon grass prawn cake taste interesting and special. The tom yum soup serving was too small portion for 2 people and I does not recommend it the taste was also not too good. The curry rice taste good as well comment from BB June. I will go back again to try other dishes.

Lee taiwanese food @ JEM

Few weeks ago, I visited a new shopping centre in the west called JEM. There were many restaurants and retail shops and moreover there were crowds outside every restaurant during peak hours.
We went to LEE taiwanese food for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. From the shop name, you roughly know what to expect from the menu, taiwanese food. Honestly, I love to eat taiwanese food and their street food in Taiwan. We ordered beef noodle, oyster mee sua, braised big intestine, taiwanese burger, deep fried tapioca, meatball soup and chicken cutlet rice. Overall, the food were good especially worth mentioning is the taiwanese burger. It had a very special taste. The burger has a bit of sweet, sour and salty taste, very good combination. It seem like they are dancing inside your mouth after you bite it. The price is also reasonable. Worth trying!
